New Paco Pomet Print Release: Leviatán
Paco Pomet and master screen printer Christian M. Walter have teamed up to bring you their first offering of 2022.
Leviatán, a screen print consisting of 5 different tones of transparent black, is printed on Schutpapier and released in an edition of 90 copies.
The image, based on an original oil based pencil drawing that sits in Christian M. Walter’s personal collection, takes its name from a biblical monster, noted in theology and mythology.
Pomet, known for unexpected juxtaposition in his work, uses the title of this multi-headed creature with serpent limbs as an entry point to play on the contrast between the representation of a powerful enemy and the apparent innocence of children at play.
This edition was hand printed in CM Walter’s Granada based studio and is signed and numbered by the artist.
